Job Description:
Vacancy: Quantity Surveyor Location: Kildare Salary: â,¬45K plus package 3DPersonnel's client is an Irish construction company who work on fit-out projects throughout Dublin and the greater Leinster region. Projects include Hotels, Offices, Residential. 3DPersonnel's client is currently seeking to recruit an intermediate quantity surveyor 2/3 years' experience to be based out of the companies Kildare office. The successful candidate will have previous experience in working within main contractors or fit-out contractors, or a PQS/ consultancy firm. This will be a fairly broad role, and there will be excellent opportunity for progression into a more senior level position within the organisation- reporting directly to the construction director. Duties & Responsibilities: * Materials Management: Liaising with Site Manager and Purchasing Manager (at head office) to ensure correct specification, quality and quantity of materials are on site as and when required, checking all deliveries for same, supervising the issue of materials to ensure wastage is kept to an absolute minimum. * Assistant Supervisor; Assist in supervision, monitoring and management of site operatives, both direct and subcontractors. * Quantity Surveying; Take-off quantities from drawings for materials ordering, assist in preparation of valuations (both main contractor and subcontractor), record all variations (time and materials). * Health & Safety; Assist in induction of site operatives, assist in carrying out H&S audits, monitor and manage adherence to PPE requirements. Requirements: * Strong communication skills * Ability to prioritise workload / excellent time management. * Ability to work on own initiative. * Some previous experience in similar capacity * Strong IT skills * Career minded, energetic and enthusiastic.
