The Company and the Role:

Our client is one of the UK's leading independent Foodservice Wholesalers supplying multi temperature products to foodservice clients throughout the UK. They are proud of their heritage and their business wide focus on providing excellent customer service.

They are now recruiting for a New Business Development Manager (Hunter style) to operate from their depot in Buckinghamshire. The position is permanent.

Reporting into the Sales Controller, as a New Business Development Manager (NBDM) your role will be to open profitable new accounts within a defined geographical area and within the Company's 'Delivering Quality' plan. The NBDM will work with an assigned telesales partner to achieve the territory goals and sales, identify category gaps, set objectives and successfully secure new sales within existing customers to maximise sales growth further.

Key Features of the Role:
To achieve sales and margin targets based on a commercial plan.
Win and retain profitable new business in line with company standards.
Grow retained customer numbers to achieve agreed standards.
Have an effective journey plan to ensure appropriate levels of regular contact to achieve targets with planned objectives and outputs for each call.
Work with internal customers and suppliers to maximise opportunities.
Drive agreed company campaigns and support agreed focus to meet customer and company targets.
Work closely with telesales and marketing to ensure compliance, retention and delivery of company campaigns.
Utilise 'Vecta' reporting for all activity, outputs and planning.
Full understanding of sales and margin performance vs. targets for portfolio and by customer.

Knowledge and Skills:
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced Terrority Sales / Business Development Manager with experience having been gained with a delivered foodservice wholesaler or possibly catering equipment sector.
You will have a "hunter" style mentality to grow the business on a day to day basis and you will be tenacious, self - motivated and ideally living in one of the following areas: Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, West London, Middlesex, Hertfordshire, North Hampshire and Surrey.
